The School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies (SALIS) and EROSS, both at Dublin City University, and Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre are delighted to welcome Mx. Yaffa to Dublin for an interview and reading around queer identities, queer cultures, and queer Palestine.
Mx. Yaffa (they/she) is an acclaimed disabled, autistic, trans, queer, Muslim, and indigenous Palestinian individual who has received multiple awards for their transformative work around displacement, decolonization, equity, and centering the lived experiences of individuals most impacted by injustice.
Executive Director of Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD), as well as founder of several non-profits and community projects, Mx. Yaffa is also an engineer, death and birthing doula, peer support specialist, consultant, and artist.
Mx. Yaffa’s publisher is Meraj Publishing, which prioritises narratives focusing on building utopia, hope, love, spirituality, and belonging.
