SUMMARY:Improve Your CV Workshop: Support for English Learners
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a CV but want some help improving it? Join us at Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre for a free\, practical workshop designed especially for LGBTQ+ people who are learning English. \nBring your CV along and work on it with support from our English language instructors. We can help you improve the language\, structure\, and presentation of your CV\, and make sure it clearly shows your skills and experience. \nThis is a hands-on workshop\, so please bring your CV with you. You can also email your CV in advance to outhouseenglish@gmail.com so that our instructors can look at it before the session. \nThe workshop is friendly\, relaxed\, and supportive. You do not need to have perfect English or a perfect CV — just bring what you have and we will work on it together. \n\nTuesday\, 22 September5pm – 7pm\n\nThe workshop is free. You do not need a ticket\, just check in with our team at the reception desk when you arrive. \n\nOur Volunteers:\nNigel\nHi\, my name is Nigel and I’m from Co. Mayo. I’ve taught English as a second language for many years in France\, Greece and here in Ireland. I’ve tried teaching English to my cat Nuala but she’s not very smart. I’m really happy to be working with the Outhouse to help people improve their language skills and integrate into Ireland. I think tis so important we support our own community so we can all grow and thrive. I really like cheese.\n \nAnthony\nHi! I’m Anthony and I’m from the middle of Ireland! I’m 32\, I’e worked in the English teaching industry for 8 years\, and now I work as a translator. I love languages\, travelling\, the gym\, photography\, cooking\, reading\, and history! I’m excited to get to know you and help you with your English!\nSinéad\nHey! I’m Sinéad from Co. Meath. I’m a primary school teacher. My favourite subject to teach is Gaeilge (the Irish language). I coach basketball too. When I’m not working you’ll usually find me at a random workshop\, or off gallivanting around a new place!\n \n\n
