Casting Call for Outhouse’s Next Video

CASTING CALL

Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre is producing a new short video to help raise awareness of our services and connect with members of the LGBTQ+ community who need us most.

We’re looking for a diverse group of people to be part of this project. You don’t need acting experience—we’re more interested in real people who can express themselves on camera and take direction well.

This is a voluntary, unpaid opportunity—as a charity, our resources are limited. But this project is an exciting creative collaboration that will spotlight our community’s strength, warmth, and diversity.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, 11 May at 9:00pm.

This project is proudly supported by Titan2.

Submitting an application:

To submit your application, please complete the form linked below. Because the form includes a video upload, you’ll need to sign in with a Google account to access it.

Don’t have a Google account? No problem — you can email your application instead!

Please send an email to john@outhouse.ie with the subject line: ‘Casting Call – YOUR NAME’. In your email, be sure to include the following:

  • Full Name
  • Your Pronouns
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Confirmation of your availability for the full filming days:
    • Sunday, 25th May – 10:00am to 5:00pm
    • Monday, 26th May – 10:00am to 5:00pm
  • Attach a short video (approx. 2 minutes) telling us a bit about yourself and why you’d like to be part of the project.
    • Fancy equipment isn’t necessary — a phone video is perfect!
    • Just be yourself.
    • You might want to include:
      • Why this project interests you
      • Any experience you have on camera or taking direction
      • Performance experience or special talents
      • If you’d like to appear with a partner or friend, tell us about them too

Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to every email.

While we would love to include everyone who applies, please note that there are a limited number of roles available. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to cast everyone, but we’re so grateful for your interest and support—it truly means a lot.
