Addiction Support Services
Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre offers several services dedicated to helping you take the next step on your journey to achieving sobriety or stopping substance abuse. We’re here to provide a stigma-free space to help you achieve your goals.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
Meets every Monday from 7:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday from 7:00pm – 8:00pm, and Sunday from 6:30pm -7:30pm.
Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
Meets in the Outhouse Cafe every Friday from 5pm – 8pm.
Kindr: GBTQ+ Men's Recovery Group
Meets every Saturday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
Kindr is a meeting and support group for GBTQ+ men who are in or want to find out about 12-step recovery from addictions of all kinds. Kindr particularly focuses on issues that affect members of the LGBTQ+ community. For more information, contact Niall at info@kindr.ie.
Free Rapid HIV Testing with MPOWER
In-person rapid HIV testing is available on a walk-in basis at Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. No appointment is necessary, simply pop into the centre and either speak to our team at reception or follow the MPOWER signage.
This service is provided by the MPOWER Programme at HIV Ireland and is also available in order LGBTQ+ venues throughout the week. The MPOWER team are here to guide you through the process with a warm, welcoming, and discreet approach. For more information, visit the MPOWER website.
Free Sexual Health Products
At Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre, you can access condoms, lube, and dental dams free of charge. You’ll find dispensers for these sexual health products throughout the centre, near our reception and in our bathrooms. Please take what you need. We want to empower LGBTQ+ people to take control of their sexual health and wellbeing needs in a sex-positive and judgment-free space.
Our free condoms services are kindly supported by the HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme’s National Condom Distribution Service.
Free Period Products
We believe that people who menstruate should have access to free period products. You can get free period products, including a variety of tampons and sanitary towels, at Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre. Period products can be found in our public bathrooms, or you can ask our team at reception. Please take what you need – full packets are encouraged.
Our free period products are kindly supported by the HSE Period Poverty Pilot.
