Our Governance

Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre is committed to the highest level of governance in our work to support the LGBTQ+ community. The trust of our funders, our supporters, and our donors is important to us and we work hard to demonstrate our transparency and good governance.

Triple Lock Standard

We take our obligations to transparency and good governance seriously. Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre has obtained the Triple Lock Standard for good governance and reporting standards, which encompasses:

Ethical Fundraising – Our board has formally adopted the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public. Our staff, volunteers, and anyone else fundraising on your behalf are fully trained on the requirements and we have implemented controls to ensure that all our fundraising practices are entirely in line with the guidelines. We review and report annually on our compliance.

Transparent Annual and Financial Reporting – We prepare a trustee’s annual report and financial statements in full compliance with the Charity SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice under FRS102) and publish them on our website (see below).

Good Governance – Our board has formally adopted the ‘Charities Governance Code’ issued by the Charities Regulator. This means we comply with the six principles of governance and have reached both the core and additional standards expected.
