It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of a true pioneer and trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community, our dear friend, and centre regular, Edmund Lynch.
Edmund was not just a friend to many of our team, he also touched the lives of countless individuals in the wider LGBTQ+ community in Ireland and beyond. He was a beacon of courage, an outspoken advocate, and an uncompromising champion for LGBTQ+ rights. His passion and dedication knew no bounds, and his distinct and direct sense of humour and love of storytelling, especially telling the stories that make up our histories, brought immense joy to those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed.
Edmund’s legacy will continue to inspire us all to be fearless in our pursuit of equality and justice. His unwavering commitment to the cause has left an indelible mark on the LGBTQ+ movement, and his memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
To honour his memory, we will have a book of condolences in Outhouse for members of the community to sign. For those unable to visit in person who wish to pay their respects, you can sign the book online.
Edmund Lynch has been an inspiration to us all, and he will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.
