This month’s pick? None other than the dark and campy cult classic – Jennifer’s Body. Directed by Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody, this sharp, subversive horror-comedy flips the “sexy teen slasher” trope on its head. When small-town golden girl, Jennifer (Megan Fox), becomes possessed by a demon with a taste for teenage boys, her best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried) must face the horrors of adolescence, friendship, and something far more sinister.

Packed with biting humour, feminist rage, and a sapphic undercurrent that’s become legendary in queer culture, Jennifer’s Body has risen from a misunderstood flop on release to a queer horror classic! It’s camp, it’s creepy, and it’s absolutely perfect for October.
