The Outhouse Book Club returns on Wednesday, 16 July 2025 from 6-8pm in the Outhouse Library.
This month’s theme is Queer Beach Reads—stories that are perfect for dipping into under the sun (or a sunlamp). ☀️ Whether you’re actually headed to the beach or just imagining one from your sofa, we hope this month’s pick, Evenings and Weekends by Oisín McKenna, will transport you.

Where can I find copies of this month’s book? Evenings and Weekends is available in most Irish bookshops and online retailers for around €15, and you can also find it in Audiobook form, narrated by Isabel Adomakoh Young. As always, check the Outhouse Library too—there may be a copy waiting for you!
