LGBTQ+ Homelessness Multi-Stakeholder Group

Convened and led by Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre, the LGBTQ+ Homelessness Multi-Stakeholder Group is a collaborative assembly of individuals and organisations committed to addressing the critical issue of homelessness within the LGBTQ+ community.

Its primary purpose is to secure the establishment of a dedicated shelter specifically designed to meet the unique needs of LGBTQ+ people facing and experiencing homelessness.

Comprising representatives from LGBTQ+ advocacy groups, government agencies, homeless sector organisations, healthcare providers, and community leaders, this group serves as a unified force working to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals in need.

By fostering collaboration among stakeholders and leveraging their collective expertise, the LGBTQ+ Homelessness Multi-Stakeholder Group aims to not only raise awareness about the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ homeless individuals but also advocate for the development of comprehensive solutions that address this critical social issue.

Through our combined efforts, we aspire to ensure that every LGBTQ+ person in our communities has access to the shelter and support they deserve, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society.
