Trans & Intersex Day of Joy at Outhouse

At Outhouse we will mark the day of Trans & Intersex Pride on the 8th of July with a suite of events to celebrate the Trans & Intersex community.

The centre is open from 10am for people to meet up before the Trans & Intersex Pride march.

PrideNails is back in the centre once again from 10am to 4pm painting nails and using donations to support gender-affirming healthcare for the transgender community. No appointment is required.

Join us after the march , where between 5:30pm and 8pm, Outhouse, in collaboration with Small Trans Library, will be transforming our Library space into an actual Small Trans Library, hosting a pop-up collection of trans-authored books!

The Red Room will also host a movie where the Small Trans Library  Presents: OUT/DATED from 6:00pm – 8:00pmOUT/DATED is a block of newsreels, archival films and documentaries featuring real trans people from 1937 to 1976, as well as three films from 1991, 2013 and 2019 that look back on how we’ve handled trans history, the things that we’ve overlooked, erased and turned a blind eye to. This is a drop-in screening with no registration, and the full list of films available here: https://smalltranslibrary.org/small-trans-film-club

To finish the day off, please join us from 8:00pm to 10:00pm for the Dance Social as we transform our underground Theatre into a dance club to close out the Day of Trans & Intersex Pride! We’ll have our gorgeous lights on full display and tunes playing from all your queer faves. Free to attend with no registration required. This is a non-alcoholic space; Alcohol will not be available for sale and not permitted onto the premises. Outhouse reserves the right to refuse admission.

Wishing you all a successful protest but also a joyful day where you are safe and seen.
