Do you want to support LGBTQ+ community spaces that are welcoming, affirming, and inclusive? Are you passionate about creating meaningful connections and encouraging others to thrive? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
At Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre, we run a range of social and peer support groups, each facilitated by trained volunteers. These groups offer people across our community the opportunity to meet others, share experiences, and feel a sense of belonging.
We’re currently looking for new volunteer facilitators to help us continue this work. Many of our amazing current facilitators are moving on to new chapters, and now it’s your chance to get involved!
About Our Groups
Social Groups – These are safe and welcoming spaces to connect, share experiences, build supportive networks, and find your people. You can learn more about our social groups here.
Peer Support Groups – Lightly structured peer support sessions where participants speak openly about their experiences, reflect, and learn from each other in a safe, supportive environment. You can learn more about our peer support groups here.
Whether it’s a friendly social meet-up or a space to explore personal experiences in a supportive environment, all our groups are:
Facilitated by volunteers who are trained by our team and help welcome attendees and encourage connection.
Participant-led in spirit, where group members have a say in what the sessions look like.
Focused on safety, inclusion, and belonging for LGBTQ+ people of all backgrounds.
