Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre, alongside 17 other leading LGBTQI+ organisations in Ireland, launched the first-ever LGBTQI+ sector-wide manifesto for the upcoming General Election.
With this manifesto, we’re calling on election candidates to commit to ensuring support for and safety of LGBTQI+ communities and not to ‘play politics’ with LGBTQI+ people’s lives.
Our five key priority areas of action for a programme for Government include:
- Strengthening LGBTQI+ rights
- Investing in LGBTQI+ health
- Implementing LGBTQI+ inclusive education
- Tackling extreme hate speech
- Supporting LGBTQI+ communities
