Community Outreach & Engagement Lead

Join the team at Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre! This new role comes at a time of increasing societal division, misinformation, and targeted hate. The Community Outreach & Engagement Lead will drive meaningful outreach and strengthen connections with LGBTQ+ people and allies. They will empower communities and service providers to be more inclusive, informed, and equipped to support LGBTQ+ individuals and counter rising hate, hostility, and disinformation about LGBTQ+ people. Community Employment Scheme & Community Services Programme

Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre participates in two labour market activation programmes (LMAP) – the Community Employment (CE) Scheme and the Community Services Programme (CSP). These programmes are designed to help people who are long-term unemployed (or otherwise disadvantaged) to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.

Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre is committed to providing tailored support and resources to staff on LMAPs to enhance their skills and employability and support their successful transition into sustainable employment.
