Library

The Outhouse Library houses a comprehensive library of book relating to homosexuality in general, including transgender, gay, lesbian, and bisexual topics. The library is on the first floor of the Outhouse building. It is a comfortable and informal space, which houses an LGBT collection of almost 4000 titles, both internationational and Irish books.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Library is closed at the moment due to COVID restrictions. However please contact us anyway with a booking enquiry as the Red Room or Theatre may be able to facilitate your needs.

BOOKING ENQUIRY

The Library is an intimate space for up to 20 people sitting; 30 standing. It is a favourite room of many groups that meet in Outhouse. Books can be borrowed for up to 3 weeks and can be renewed for an additional 3 weeks by dropping into the library or reception.

When borrowing items please liaise with the reception desk if the library assistant is not available. You will need to fill out a membership form to join the library and borrow items (all personal information is kept in strict confidence in accordance with Outhouse policies).
